NOTE: Your use of our services constitutes your agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions. These terms are subject to change at any time without notice. We will, however, post updated terms to this website at www.5starcpc.com.au. You should check this page periodically to remain informed.

Interpretation

  • “Customer” or “You” refers to the person purchasing services from 5 Star Cleaning & Pest Control.

  • “We”, “Us” refers to 5 Star Cleaning & Pest Control or an authorised contractor.

  • “Services” means any service performed by us at your request.

  • “Cleaner” refers to the individual(s) carrying out the service.

  • “Heavily Soiled” means a level of grime or buildup that exceeds standard residential use.

  • “Managing Agent” means the real estate or property manager.

  • “Bond Cleaning Standards” refers to standards acceptable to property managers under local tenancy regulations.

General

These terms apply to all service contracts and override any communication from the Customer. We do not tolerate abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour towards our staff or contractors. Any such conduct will result in immediate termination of service without refund.

Pricing

All quotes are estimates based on standard property sizes and conditions. Quotes may change based on:

  • Misrepresentation of property details.

  • Heavily soiled areas requiring additional time or materials.

  • Areas needing specialist equipment or services.

  • Items/areas not covered in the initial agreement.

  • Unexpected costs such as parking or key collection.

We reserve the right not to clean or service an item/area deemed unsafe. Wear and tear or long-term damage may not be rectifiable.

Access

Customers must:

  • Be contactable before and during the job.

  • Provide unencumbered access to all areas requiring service.

  • Ensure parking is available within 5 minutes of the property.

  • Provide electricity and running water.

  • Move heavy items prior to service commencement.

Failure to provide access may incur a $120 call-out fee. Key pickup beyond 10km from the property may incur travel charges. We reserve the right to photograph the property for quality assurance.

Postponements

A $50 fee applies for any service postponed by the customer on the scheduled day.

If a service is postponed, the full amount is held as security.

Cancellations / Refunds

  • Cancel 5+ days in advance: Full refund less $25 admin fee.

  • Cancel 2-5 days before service: $50 cancellation/postponement fee.

  • Cancel within 24 hours: $120 cancellation fee.

  • Cancel after a postponement: $120 fee.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a service due to unsafe conditions or misrepresentation.

Payment

Payment is due prior to service unless otherwise agreed. Accepted methods include credit card or bank transfer.

Late payments incur:

  • $50 late fee after 1 month

  • 10% interest per annum for overdue balances

We may refer non-payment to debt collection or credit agencies.

Bond Return Guarantee

Our bond clean guarantee includes one free return visit (if needed) based on the Managing Agent’s exit report.

  • Guarantee applies only to services booked through us (e.g. carpet cleaning excluded if not booked).

  • Customer must report issues within 5 days and provide the agent’s report.

  • Property must remain vacant until final inspection.

  • Guarantee excludes certain items such as ceilings, garage walls, and deep stains.

Claims

  • Claims must be submitted in writing within 24 hours of service completion.

  • We reserve the right to inspect and rectify issues before any third-party intervention.

  • Claims must include documentation and photos.

  • Damage from wear and tear or unattended items may not be covered.

Complaints

  • All complaints must be submitted via email to admin@5starcpc.com.au within 24 hours of service. Please include:

    • Full name and contact details

    • Date of service

    • Detailed description and supporting documentation

    • Preferred resolution

    Complaints not following this process may be dismissed.
